After rejecting his offer of 46 billion dollars, the brewer InBev has decided to continue seeking control of Anheuser-Busch with the announcement that seek to remove the entire board of directors of the company.
In an official announcement, InBev has confirmed that the bureau alternative, which will also include a Adolphus Busch IV, the uncle of CEO August Busch IV of Anheuser, will give a voice directly to shareholders of the company owner of Budweiser.
To achieve this change, InBev plans to file an application in the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, asking that the directive Anheuser conduct a consultation to all its shareholders concerning the dismissal of 13 of its current directors.
It is worth recalling that in this system, shareholders have the right to sue if they feel that directors are acting not in favour of their interests.
